Voice Commander Gallant at Sunshine Coast
Voice Commander completed his northern campaign with a very gallant second in the Listed Sunshine Coast Cup over 1400m. Carrying top weight, he jumped and trailed the leaders to the turn. Tye Angland moved him up three wide at the turn where he showed his characteristic fighting qualities to grind down the opposition to hit the lead at the 200m. He was just run down by a swooper in the last bit but beat the rest of the field comfortably. Another very gutsy run. He has now returned to Canberra and if he recovers well from his travelling will probably have more runs in this preparation
