Four Wins at Wagga

The stable had its first quadrella with four wins on a seven race TAB programme at Wagga.  All winners were ridden by Brendon Ward who racked up five winners on the day.

Cockles'n'Mussels made up for an unlucky first start second when she won convincingly in a 1200m Maiden.  From her wide barrier, she was again caught three wide just behind the leaders to the turn.  Brendon pulled her out wide on straightening where, although a little green, she powered home very strongly to win by a length.  This daughter of Street Cry shows considerable promise.

Celero was the first of a Triple Crown Syndications Double when he won a Class 2 1000m.  He travelled just behing the leaders to the turn where he started to move up although spotting the leader five lengths.  He finished very strongly and despite being severely hampered by the second horse and being carried out to the outside rail he hung on to win by a neck.  Dragon Dance provided the second Triple Crown winner in a Benchmark 64 1800m.  He travelled one out and one back to the 600m where he strolled up to the lead on the turn.  Despite being left in front down the long straight he finished strongly to win by a length.  A great thrill for the group of owners who saw him race for the first time.  Both horses were having their first starts with the stable.

Showing his great like for the Wagga track, Swashknuckler redeemded his unclucky second last start when he saluted in the Benchmark 55 1200m.  He travelled nicely just behind the leaders and worked into the race in the straight.  He finished very strongly to win in a head bob on the line.  He has now won three races at Wagga and is going very well this preparation after his long injury lay off.
