Canberra Double
The stable had a double at Canberra when The Cat Walk Star won a Benchmark 65 1600m and Cockles'n'Mussels a Benchmark 60 1400m. The Cat Walk Star jumped and travelled just behind the leaders to the turn where Brendon Ward allowed her to stroll up to the lead. She soon asserted her superiority and finished very strongly under hands and heels to win by three lengths. The win continues her good form with four wins from the last six starts.
From her usual wide barrier, Cockle'n'Mussels travelled three wide just off the lead to the turn where Brendon Ward worked her up to challenge. She finished powerfully to win running away by three lengths. This highly promising daughter of Street Cry has now had two wins and and unlucky second from three starts and should go on to better things.
