The Conquest Continues at Kembla

The Conqueror continued on his winning way making it back to back wins when taking out a Benchmark 65 1600m over a good field at Kembla.  From his outside barrier he was caught wide and settled three wide but with cover in the running.  Brendan Ward started to move him up approaching the turn and he soon joined the battle in the straight.  He went to the lead at the 300m then fought out a two horse war all the way down the tough Kembla straight.  He was headed and the other horse went to a neck lead but he fought back very strongly for an extremely courageous win which was very satisfying for his excited owners.  This three year old Doomsday gelding has now won six from 15 all with Brendan Ward as the pilot and has now earned a crack at city class.
