City tests King of Canberra

Nick Olive has high hopes for Canberra galloper Nat King Cu and is keen to see how he responds to a first-time test in big city company on Saturday.  Nat King Cu will head to Sydney for the Meadowlea Mile (1600m) at Warwick Farm on the back of four straight wins on his home track in the nation's capital.  "I'm looking forward to seeing him in Sydney," Olive said.  "I've got a pretty high opinion of this horse.  "I know he didn't win by an impressive margin last start but he's just that sort of horse.  He's so laid back and only does what he has to do, which is why I'm looking forward to seing what he does on Saturday."  The son of King Cugat, Nat King Cu finsihed seventh on debut at Canberra in March before being sent for a spell.  He returned with a narrow win in a maiden in September then progressed to winning two more races comfortably under big wieghts.  He made it four in a row with a neck victory in a 1400m benchmark 65 on October 26.  " I don't think he's got to the bottom of the tank yet," Olive said, adding the Warwick Farm race would guide plans for the gelding's future.
