The Conqueror Captures Tumut Cup

The Conqueror had a very good win in the Tumut Cup over 1400m.  He was with the field after jumping and settled just behind the leaders who set a line of three.  Brendan Ward started to move him up around the leaders from about the 400m and he reached the lead on straightening on the very short Tumut straight.  He finished very strongly to hold out the sweepers by 1.5 lengths.  A very welcome return to the winners list for this son of Domesday who has now won seven races.
