Fullerton Sheds Bridesmaid Tag
Better known as a stayer, Fullerton sprinted well fresh in a very good win first up at Canterbury in a Benchmark 75 1250 m. He jumped and settled in third place in the running three lengths off the two tear away leaders. Glynn Schofield started moving him up approaching the turn and he finished very strongly down the outside to reach the lead at the 200m and go on with the job and the margins on the line were 1.5 lengths by 2.5 lengths. It was the first city win for this son of Fastnet Rock who has now won eight races overall.
