Luga Lad Goes Back to Back at Canberra
Having taken an unlucky 18 starts to break his maiden, Luga Lad has then made it two in a row at Canberra in a Class 1 1400m. Brendan Ward jumped him well and he settled in second place outside the leader. He went to the lead on straightening but was soon headed. Brendan went to work and Luga Lad settled down for the fight to regain the lead and win by a neck. Once he got some decent barriers this horse has done really well to the delight of his owners.
