Eokolio in First Up Win at Canberra

Having his first run for the stable, Eokolio had a tough win in a Class 1 1080m on the Canberra Acton Track.  He chased the tear away leader early and travelled in second place.  On straightening Brendan Ward eased him out and he challenged strongly and in a tough battle down the straight got the leader close to the line to win by a head with three lengths back to the third horse. A very nice win at a juicy price for his owners.
