Flight Commander in Welcome Canberra Win

Flight Commander won a 1080m Maiden at the Canberra Acton Track.  He jumped well and Brendan Ward settled outside the leader in the running.  He started to work up on straightening and got to the lead at the 100m then just held out the fast finishing favourite to win by a short head.  A very welcome win for the patient owners of this son of Commands who has always shown potential but has had a number of injury problems.
