I Am Kalani Returns to Winners List at Canberra

I Am Kalani had a very good win in a Benchmark 70 Federal 1000m at Canberra.  She could not go the early pace and was allowed to find her spot one back on the rails.  On straightening she was pocketed but in a great ride Billy Owen showed great patience and skill to get her out at the 200m and  balance her up where she showed great pace to flash home and finsh up a confortable winner by over half a length.  A very welcome return the the winner's list for her patient owners who had gone 16 months without a win due to injury and bad luck.  Hoepfully more to come now.
