Inveterate Breaks Through at Gundagai

nick40044

Inveterate had a good win in a Maiden 1400m at Gundagai. He jumped well and settled in third place, just behind the leaders with a really nice run in the race. At the 600m Billy Owen started to move him forward and he got up outside the leaders. Billy worked him to the lead at the dog leg, then he ran on well and while challenged late, he hung on strongly to win by half a length. A very welcome win for this horse who has been racing well without breaking though.
