Just Go Bang in Strong Win at Canberra

Just Go Bang had a very welcome return to the winner’s circle, in a 1600m Class 3 at Canberra. From a wide barrier he was caught wide early, but Billy Owen eased him back to find a nice position, one out in the second half of the field.  Billy started moving him up from the 600m, and he was four wide on the turn but in touch with the leaders. He and the favourite settled down for the battle, but he was too strong at the end to win by almost a length. A very good win for connections of this son of Natch Catch, who had shown real promise early but then had a long injury enforced lay off.
