The Deepest Secret Breaks Through at Canberra

The Deepest Secret finally broke through for her maiden win in a Maiden 1400m at Canberra on Canberra Cup day. From an inside barrier she was well away and settled one back on the rail. On straightening, Jeff Penza made good use of the cutaway to get through on the inside where she finished very strongly to win by a length. A welcome win for this mare who has shown potential and can now hopefully go on with it.
