Pecuniary Interest Wins Bathurst Cup
Pecuniary interest went back to back in the 1800m Bathurst Cup. He settled mid field and lobbed along until the turn. He was cluttered up but in a peach of a ride Ellen Hennessy bullocked him out despite his diminutive size. Once he saw daylight he sprinted very quickly to put paid to them in a couple of strides to run out a very comfortable winner by two and a half lengths easing down. This very progressive horse has now won five from ten starts and fulfilled Johnny Scorse’s view that he would win a country cup with hopefully more to come.
