Anzac Day Double with a Listed win

It was a stable double across two states, as Spicy Lu returned to the winners circle with a Stakes Victory at Eagle Farm, while Wal's Angel got the job done in Bathurst.

After contesting Group races since returning from a spell, Spicy Lu found her marked fourth up with a great win at Eagel Farm in the Listed Princess Stakes. It was an all the way front running ride, who was rated perfectly by Coriah Keatings to score the much deserved win.

"We were worried about the wet track, but thank God things have paid off," Olive said.

"I just said to Coriah that the filly is coming back from 2000m and we just needed to make this race today a real grind.

"She rode the horse absolutely perfectly.

"It is a big thrill for her, she has done such a good job for our stable.

"She works her arse off, she rides all our work, I am so proud of her.

"It really is all about her today, not me.

Wal's Angel also fired for the stable combing win the Amy McLucas to get the job down for his connections second up at bathurst, nabbing the leader on the line in a hard fought win down the straight.
