Roman Candle won a Class 1 1460m at Queanbeyan. He jumped mid field but Damon Budler got him up into one out and one back early. Up the hill he set off after the tearaway leader, and was within two lengths at the turn. He finished strongly to run out a comfortable winner by almost two lengths.
